The Phi Theta chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International is offering scholarships for student nurses to attend the Odyssey Research Conference. This regional conference is sponsored by the Southern California Chapters of Sigma Theta Tau International.

This year the conference is being held on November 8 & 9 at the Hilton San Diego, Del Mar Hotel, Del Mar, CA.

The focus of the conference is Designing the Future of Health Care: Nurses Connecting, Collaborating and Catalyzing. 

Scholarships will reimburse you for the registration fee for 1-2 days. There are 10 scholarships available, first come first serve.

To apply please email Dr. Geri Schmotzer @ gschmotzer@csusm.edu with your request for a scholarship, the number of days you would like to attend, and 1-2 sentences on why you would like to attend. The deadline for entry is November 5, 2018.

To be eligible for registration fee reimbursement you must fill out the STTI Voucher, provide the registration form, a receipt with the amount and method of payment, and proof of your attendance (e.g. a copy of the conference badge).

The board members of the Phi Theta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau would like to announce the Dissemination Grant, a new grant for nurse researchers to present their research. The Chapter will make two awards of $1,000 each, one for a qualitative study, one for a quantitative study. Our Chapter wishes to assist in development of scholarship among colleagues. The deadline for this is October 19, 2018. The award will be presented at the Fall Program on October 24, 2018.

STTI Phi Theta invites all members to submit qualitative and quantitative proposals for funding. The Chapter will make two awards of $1,000 each, one for a qualitative study, and one for a quantitative study. The Chapter wishes to assist in development of scholarship among colleagues. Applications must be emailed no later than midnight of:March 31, 2017.
